The Quality Administrator Intern will support the Quality Department in maintaining and improving product and process quality standards. This hands-on role includes inspections, audits, and documentation reviews to ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards such as Mastercard Card Quality Management (CQM), ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and PCI.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
- The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:
- Conduct weekly inspections of warehouse and production areas to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Review job cards and production records for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in incoming goods inspections to verify conformity to specifications.
- Perform weekly 5S audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Verify compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist the Head of Quality in monitoring and managing the Quality Management System.
- Assist in data collection and analysis for quality metrics and KPIs.
- Support training initiatives related to quality standards and procedures.
- Help maintain document control systems and ensure version accuracy.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CQM, and PCI standards.
- To be considered for this role under the “Yes4Youth” Learnership program, the following requirements are non-negotiable:
- Must be unemployed at the time of contracting.
- Must be between the ages of 18 – 34.
- Must meet the definition of “Black People,” as defined in the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act 53 of 2003, as amended.
- Must not have previously participated in a “Yes4Youth” program.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Higher certificate, NQF 6 or equivalent in Quality Management, Industrial engineering or a related field
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1–2 years relevant experience in a similar role (internship or learnership experience will be considered).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES:
- MS Office (Outlook/ Project / Word / Excel / PowerPoint/SharePoint/PowerBI).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills is a prerequisite
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, ISO standards) is a plus
- Must be able to handle pressurised situations. Time management skills to meet required deadlines. (essential).
