Job Advert Summary

• An opportunity has become available for a Welder to construct and repair steel and other metal components using a variety of welding techniques. Welds together metal components of products such as pipelines, automobiles, boilers, ships, aircraft and mobile homes with electric arc-welding equipment.
• Connects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope and pulse.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric/ NQF level 4
• Welder Qualification
• 3 to 5 years’ experience
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of welding techniques

Duties & Responsibilities

• Delivery of customer service
• Repair and manufacture of agricultural equipment, trailers and ancillary workshop equipment
• Efficient administration with regard to the completion of job cards and material use
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work environment
• Conducting weekly and monthly safety checks on equipment
• Maintain the welding and cutting equipment
• Inspect structures or materials to be welded
• Measure and cut materials to specifications
• Weld materials using the correct materials and tools
