Job Purpose
- The Department of Local Government Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to provide efficient and effective supply chain management within the department.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).

Key Performance Areas
- Provide an efficient and effective Bid administration support; Provide efficient and effective Electronic Procurement Solution (EPS) support; Render contract management support; Render logistical support.
Competencies
- A good understanding of the following: Supply chain management duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collect statistics; Legislative framework governing the Public Service
- Work procedures in terms of the working environment; Public Service financial legislations, processes and procedures, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions; Basic operating systems such as LOGIS, EPS or similar systems.
- Skills in the following: Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Communication skills (written and verbal); Interpersonal relations; Flexibility; Accuracy; Planning and organising; Numeracy skills; Problem Solving; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Remuneration
