Description
- Contribute to the organisational strategy by understanding the key strategic drivers and direction and providing input into the strategy annually.
- Develop the departmental strategy by understanding the business strategy and developing the strategy, presenting and securing approval annually.
- Lead the selection and implementation of new supply chain management systems (SCMs), including ERP integrations.
- Design and manage data migration strategies to ensure accurate information transfer.
- Develop user training programs for all levels of employees on new technologies.
- Analyse current supply chain processes and identify areas for optimisation through automation or streamlining.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to develop and implement process improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of enablement initiatives.
- Consolidate the one SC monthly report with inputs from the other SC managers, including developing key SC metrics to measure performance.
- Assist with SC inputs for tenders, ensuring supply chain requirements are incorporated.
- Support Planning & Optimisation team with slow moving and aging stock to be included in SC Monthly reporting.
- Manage the development and implementation of departmental business processes by overseeing process mapping, assessing efficiencies and appropriateness of processes, monitoring compliance, identifying anomalies and implementing corrective action as required.
- Develop departmental policies and procedures by understanding good practices, regulatory and compliance requirements and methods, developing policies and submitting for approval as required.
- To actively support with compliance with departmental policies and procedures by monitoring adherence to requirements, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective action as required.
- Manage utilisation and development of departmental systems including software by reviewing utilisation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing programs to support users as required.
- Monitor departmental regulatory and compliance requirements by reviewing statutory amendments and updating policies and procedures as required.
- Maximise sustainability and growth of Enaex by analysing the business environment, identifying and evaluating constraints, opportunities and threats, identifying and prioritizing opportunities and risk mitigating actions and implementing relevant strategies, as required.
- Enhance operational performance and profitability, by understanding operational requirements, developing and prioritising optimization initiatives, identifying constraints and devising solutions, identifying opportunities and initiatives to capitalise on these, supporting operational goals and objectives as required.
- Support operational optimisation by collaborating with relevant departments to understand resource requirements for personnel, equipment and materials, understanding the strategic priorities and operational needs and allocating resources, accordingly, as required.
- Develop communication plans to effectively inform stakeholders about upcoming changes in the supply chain.
- Address potential resistance to change and provide support to employees during transition periods.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptation within the supply chain.
- Identify areas within the supply chain that require enablement through technology or process improvements and carry out the implementation of the proposed solution.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enablement strategy aligned with overall business goals and supply chain objectives.
- Assess current capabilities and identify gaps to implement enablement initiatives.
