Description
Strategic Executive Support & Governance in the Office of the CEO
- Provide expert counsel on governance, legal frameworks, and political-economic dynamics.
- Coordinate executive engagements with the Board, Committees and EXCO.
- In Collaboration with HC, Facilitate the performance review process for the Executive Committee (EXCO) members.
Stakeholder Management & Representation
- Maintain influential relationships with government, industry partners, and maritime authorities.
- Provide Liaison function for the CEO and SAMSA with high-stakes national and international forums.
Executive Operations & Risk
- Oversee the comprehensive management and operational efficiency of the CEO’s office.
- Govern budgeting, financial stewardship, and organisational risk mitigation strategies for the CEO Office.
Performance & Culture Leadership
- Mentor a high-performing team and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Implement and monitor performance management including the balanced scorecard in the Office of the CEO.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Postgraduate Qualification (Master’s or MBA preferred) in Public Administration, Business Leadership, Law, or a related field.
- Qualification in Maritime Studies will be a distinct advantage.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience of progressive senior or executive leadership experience.
- Proven track record in a complex public or private sector environment, with experience in maritime, ports, transport, or regulatory sectors being highly desirable.
- Demonstrable expertise in corporate governance, strategic planning, performance management, and board-level interactions.
