Job Description
- To independently conduct Cold Chain Services according to standard protocols as prescribed through PPECB’s legislative mandate.
- Inspection of all cold chain equipment applicable to the region.
- Monitor temperatures and supervise container loading at various loading points.
- Ensure the correct application of quality management systems, procedures, and work instructions.
- Perform administrative tasks.
- Supervision of juniors and temporary personnel.
- Provide technical support to subordinates.
- Assist with training of subordinates.
- Assist management to manage cost drivers
- Identify and limit risks in all business processes
- Build and maintain good relations with PPECB clients.
- Communicate with various clients on own specific task and outcome of decisions
- Participate in the relief duty roster
- Accept the responsibility of continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility according to the PPECB performance framework
Job Requirements
- A Grade 12 certificate or relevant qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience as a competent Cold Chain Assessor. (verification of assessment required on two main products)
- Thorough understanding and theoretical knowledge of the processes involved in all cold chain activities.
- Knowledge and experience of all cold chain services relevant to the specific geographical area.
- Proven competence and experience on container loading, container inspection, temperature monitoring, cold store inspections, calibrations and cold treatment.
- Competence in Terminal Monitoring desk, CTI/Precool desk & En-route management will be advantageous.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently.
- Good overall soft skills – proven completion of Supervisory course
- Proven track record of taking ownership enabled by responsible and accountable behaviour.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A valid code 08 driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
