  • To be considered for a role in Cytogenetics at Ampath, you must hold either a BSc Honours degree with HPCSA registration as a Medical Scientist in Genetics/Human Genetics or Molecular Biology, a Bachelor’s degree of Health Science with HPCSA registration as a MLS in Cytogenetics or a National Diploma in Biomedical Technology with HPCSA registration as a Medical Technologist in Cytogenetics. These qualifications ensure you are equipped to uphold the standards of scientific integrity and innovation that define Ampath’s reputation. You bring two years of experience working in a Cytogenetics laboratory environment, where you have honed your technical capabilities and developed a deep understanding of diagnostic workflows. Your experience enables you to contribute meaningfully from day one.

Skills Requirements

  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and are confident using computer technology to support laboratory operations. Your numerical reasoning skills enable you to perform calculations with precision, supporting the integrity of diagnostic results. These skills, combined with your scientific expertise, make you a valuable contributor to a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
