Responsibilities

What we’re looking for:

  • Execute and support packaging projects for the SA Foods and frontier markets
  • Execute packaging projects under innovation, Productivity & Sustainability agenda and build future pipeline along with manager
  • Prepare SOPs and Design of Experiments for quality execution of projects in guidance with the Pkg manager as per PepsiCo requirements
  • Support supply chain and other business functions with packaging TBS
  • Ensure compliance to TSG, SFTS processes , Documentation
  • Influence stakeholders – GP, Operations, QC for achieving results
  • Create and maintain packaging specifications that are compliant with PepsiCo R&D best practices.

Qualifications

What will qualify you for the role:

  • Food Technology / Science, Consumer Science, B.Sc., B.Eng.or M.Sc. degree in material, chemical or packaging related field with minimum 2-3 years in a Technical or R&D role within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • IPSA packaging diploma advantageous
  • Effective interpersonal, Influencing and communication skills with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving and new design implementation.
  • Demonstrated technical, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize workloads.
  • A good understanding of R&D and product development disciplines, as well as regulatory requirements is desirable.
  • Fluent in English and computer skills e.g. MS Word, MS. Excel.
