-  A rapidly scaling fresh farming operation is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage its packhouse operation. The role is based in Paarl, Western Cape. This role reports into the CEO; with a dotted line into the CFO.
- The successful candidate will be experienced in a Production and Operations environment, will be a strong manager and leader, and will be strong on data analysis and usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high production quality and maximise production efficiencies
- Oversee and manage safety, health and hygiene
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods
- Lead and manage the entire packhouse team, including logistics and procurement
- Optimise stock optimisation and minimise losses
- Oversight of fixed assets (vehicles/machinery, etc)
- Manage the logistics function of the operation
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of similar experience in a production environment – agriculture preferred but not essential
- Applicable tertiary education – National Diploma or Degree preferred
- Strong data skills, as evidenced by proficiency in Excel, for example
- Extremely strong and capable leader and manager
