Production Manager at Pollock & Associates

• Accountable for the efficient conversion of raw materials into finished goods, ensuring operational excellence, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• The Production Manager will lead and motivate a team, optimise resources, and drive continuous improvement to meet business and customer objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric/Grade 12 (essential).
• Higher Certificate/Diploma in Operations/Production Management (essential).
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (advantageous).
• Up to 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production processes, BOMs, and manufacturing functions.
• MS Office proficiency, particularly Excel; Syspro experience advantageous.
• Supervisory and people management experience.
• Ability to implement lean manufacturing and JIT principles.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle (essential).

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the daily production plan in line with BOMs, quality standards, and cost targets.
• Lead, motivate, and manage production teams, ensuring adherence to OHSA and ISO 9001:2015.
• Monitor resources, equipment, and progress; troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
• Drive lean initiatives, cost-saving measures, and continuous improvement.
• Record and analyse waste to reduce losses.
• Compile production stats, reports, and payroll inputs.
• Investigate incidents and ensure compliance with safety standards.
