Planning & Economic Development Department (Small Medium and Macro Enterprise Officer) at Greater Tzaneen Municipality

Salary: R 477 109. 80 per annum (Job level 8)

• The job purpose of Small Medium Macro Enterprise Officer is to facilitate and promote community economic development in the SMME sector.

Key performance areas:

• The SMME Officer must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for:
• Facilitate community and economic development planning 
• Determine opportunities for community economic development
• Coordinate funding for economic development activities and programs 
• Provide assistance to local organisations, businesses and individuals with establishing economic and community development plans, businesses and projects
• Promote community in order to expand economic development opportunities.
• Requirements:
• National Diploma in Business Management, 
• Development Studies or relevant qualification (NQF Level 6), 
• Driver’s license and Two (02) years relevant experience.
