Job Description

  • The role of a Sales Manager is one that demands utmost professionalism, integrity and a customer-centric approach. The Sales Manager commands the respect and trust of those customers who are entrusting their and their families financial futures to them. 
  • The role calls for formal in-house training and continuous development. The completion of the prescribed Regulatory exams are preferred but not compulsory as this role sits a a non-advice giving environment.
  • As a Sales Manager with Old Mutual, you will represent the ideals and values to which the company has subscribed for over 175 years – Integrity, Professionalism, Customer-first.

What is required of you?

  • Manage a team of teleconsultants, in line with the clients’ financial goals and business objectives, to enable positive financial futures and protection of assets and estate.
  • To develop, support and manage the teleconsultants to be competent and confident to drive sales in a compliant, disciplined and professional manner.
  • Responsible for distribution strategy of products within a branch/team
  • Identifies & creates coordinated sales opportunities through others
  • Manages sales & expense budget for a sales team in a branch against set targets
  • As a Sales Manager you will be accountable for maintaining superior service delivery to your customers, through effective personal time and task management.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum of 12 months sales management experience
  • Experience having worked in a sales call centre
  • RE5 an advantage
  • A clear criminal and credit check
  • Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
