Merchandiser – BUCO Somerset West at The Building Company

Description

1. The main purpose of the job is to ensure that all stock held by the business is correctly and neatly located, binned and displayed at all times and that all racks, bays, gondolas and such holding, or display systems are maintained in a good and clean state at all times.

4. Achieve Sales and Gross Profit Targets
5. Administration and Reporting
6. Merchandising of Stock
7. Follow up on quotes
8. Placement of stock
9. Returning Stock not removed from location
10. Ensure Stock is displayed correctly
11. Reporting on Damaged Stock
12. Receiving and Checking
13. Report on Depletion or removal of stock
14. Product Promotions
15. Aid customers
16. Ensure Merchandising Standards are complied to
17. Maintaining Equipment
18. To uphold and promote the company values and culture

Requirements

1. Grade 12
2. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position
3. 1 year’s shelf packing/merchandising experience
4. Knowledge of general building material environment is essential
5. Proven success in personal selling (achieving sales targets), customer service finding new business (customer) and converting it to actual sales.
6. Ability to manage and coordinate regular stock takes
7. Interact with customers
