Mechanical Engineer at Pollock & Associates

• We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our technical team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge within a fast-paced environment spanning manufacturing, mining, and project management.
• You will support senior engineers in delivering innovative mechanical solutions, contributing to the design, analysis, and execution of projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience.  
• You will combine technical expertise with strong problem-solving, organisational, and teamwork skills to drive projects to successful completion.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years’ experience in manufacturing, mining, or project management – post qualification and completion of internship
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or CAD, with exposure to FEA and tender processes
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Experience in FEA is also extremely important  

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems
• Perform technical calculations and simulations
• Collaborate on projects and attend planning meetings
• Support technical operations and adhere to safety protocols
