JOB OVERVIEW

The Role:

• The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing routine and minor maintenance tasks to keep facilities and equipment in good working order. They will also assist with larger projects and provide support to other maintenance personnel, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaks, changing light bulbs, and replacing fixtures.
• Use power and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist with larger projects, including equipment installation and repairs.
• Diagnose and address minor electrical and plumbing issues.
• Conduct routine safety checks, including resort equipment and extinguishers.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
• Help with the setup and teardown of events or projects.
• Provide assistance to other maintenance personnel.
• Update maintenance logs and report any recurring issues.
• Communicate effectively with staff and managers.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
• Be flexible and willing to assist with a variety of tasks.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
