- The Department of Physiotherapy in the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences has a growing reputation as a leading educational provider for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Faculty of Community and Health Sciences is seeking to permanently appoint a Clinical Coordinator and Lecturer within the Department of Physiotherapy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibility areas:
- Teaching of undergraduate physiotherapy modules as per the requirements of the Department.
- Involvement in clinical supervision in their area of specialisation as well as general supervision.
- Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research.
- Engaging in community outreach.
- Participating in research programmes.
- Take responsibility for administrative duties within the department, faculty and the university.
- Developing industry and academic partnerships.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s in Physiotherapy.
- Evidence of research output.
- Experience in teaching at undergraduate level.
- Experience in clinical supervision.
- Registration with the Health Professional’s Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Physiotherapist (Independent Practice Category).
Added advantages:
- Be registered for their PhD or have a PhD.
- Have experience in postgraduate research supervision.
- Be proficient in at least two South African languages.
- Have a valid Driver’s license.
