Job Requirements
Academic route:
- A Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
- At least two years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution.
Professional route:
- A Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
- A minimum of five years of post-admission legal practice.
- Must be an admitted attorney or admitted advocate.
Duties:
- Teach modules in Mercantile and Private Law, which may include:
- Law of Persons
- Family Law
- Labour Law
- Insurance Law
- Contract Law
- Law of Damages
- Conflict of Laws
- Consumer Law
- Banking Law and Practice
- Information and Communications Technology Law
- Conduct independent research and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Publish scholarly work in accredited journals and textbooks.
- Serve on academic and administrative committees as required.
- Perform other administrative duties within the University.
