Minimum Requirements:
- Matric, plus any additional training or qualification related to sales responsibilities.
- Approximately 1 year of work experience, preferably in a technical field such as engineering, mining, or agriculture.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Fluent spoken and written English; French is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, work independently and well in a team, and perform under pressure.
- Excellent computer skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities.
- Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and other methods.
- Follow up on leads and inquiries.
- Handle enquiries from both internal and external customers, ensuring prompt resolution and maximum benefit to the company.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and proactively contribute to sales growth initiatives.
- Respond to customer sales enquiries promptly, preparing and submitting quotations within specified timelines.
- Provide exceptional service to telephone and online/email sales clients, addressing their needs with professionalism and efficiency.
- Track and update customer information in the CRM database.
- Monitor customer accounts and identify upsell opportunities.
- Collaborate with the external sales team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of products and services to answer customer questions.
- Assist the sales team with administrative duties such as compiling quotations, processing customer orders, ensuring payment terms are met, and organizing and monitoring product deliveries.
- Assist the sales team with arranging appointments with prospective customers for product demonstrations and presentations of business services and products.
- Assist the sales and projects teams in the tender process with administrative duties such as research, cost estimates, etc., as needed.
- Manage financial reporting tasks, including processing quotes, creating invoices, and generating purchase orders.
- Assist the sales team with enquiries and support their activities as needed.
- Update internal price lists to ensure accuracy and alignment with company standards.
- Always keep the customer database up to date.
