  • The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting and managing conveyancing matters, by assisting clients with the signing of bond documentation, preparing and reviewing legal documentation, attending to lodgements at the Deeds Office, and providing exceptional client service.
  • You will act as an essential link between our Cape Town head office and clients in Gauteng.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a newly admitted Attorney who is either recently admitted as a Conveyancer or currently studying towards their Conveyancing qualification. The role offers significant exposure to all aspects of property law and conveyancing practice, with the opportunity to grow within the firm.

To qualify for this position, you need:

  • Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
  • Admitted as a Conveyancer (advantageous), including deeds office procedures and bond registration work.
  • Sound knowledge of property law, the Deeds Registries Act, and related legislation.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining close coordination
  • with the head office team in Cape Town.
  • Must have own transport for deeds office attendances and signing of client documents.
  • Client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure.
  • Professional, ethical, and reliable.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Team player who values collaboration and continuous learning.

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Draft, review, and finalise conveyancing-related legal documents, including Powers of Attorney and bond documentation.
  • Educate and guide clients on various legal and conveyancing matters, providing clear and practical advice.
  • Sign bond documents on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide feedback and progress updates to clients, and internal teams.
  • Liaise with financial institutions, the Deeds Office, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless processes.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Assist with preparation and lodgement of documents on behalf of the Cape Town head office.
  • Attend to Deeds Office lodgements and related conveyancing processes.
