Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a team within the Distribution Centre
- Monitor and measure the quality of all work performed by the team
- Managing all administrative tasks link to the inventory department. (All reports)
- Direct work of employees to ensure that accuracy, speed, cost and compliance targets within the Distribution Centre are achieved
- Maintain department lead-time
- Workforce planning.
- Attend departmental meetings
- Productivity reporting (KPIs and lead time)
- Validate all carton adjustments
- Improving processes within the department
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, BOP
- Must be a team player
- Conduct hearings and enquiries
- Assist with departmental HR issues
- Investigate and report all shorts and overs within 48hrs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric), post-matric qualification in logistics & warehouse management/supply chain management/ retail business management advantageous
- Experience in Distribution Centre and/or warehousing
- A minimum of 2 years supervisory / team-lead experience
- Inventory management / supervisory experience is advantageous
