Intermediate Ports and Coastal Engineer – Cape Town at Hatch

You bring to the role: 

• Relevant qualifications e.g. as a minimum a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• A commitment to professional development and remaining up to date with the latest advancements and guidance in coastal engineering and science
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Ports and Coastal Engineering, with a keen interest in the coastal engineering space
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to collaborate and work within a team environment
• A passion and drive to make a real difference

Other Desirable Attributes:

• Project management capabilities
• Master’s in Ports and/or Coastal Engineering
• Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards in the marine and coastal environment
• Experience in dredging design
• Experience in coastal adaptation planning and design
• Understanding of on site coastal construction
• Track record in project delivery of complex coastal projects
