Job Description
- We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and customer-focused HR Graduate to join our dynamic team for a 12-month graduate contract. Are you looking to take the next step in your career? Join our dynamic HR team at Pepkor Speciality Hammarsdale Distribution Centre (DC).
Qualifications
- A diploma in human resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in a retail environment is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A Human Resource Management Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written language skills in English. The ability to converse in a second official language would be an advantage.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in the latest Google Suite packages or Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel)
- A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on providing exceptional support.
- Applicants must not be a beneficiary of any SETA-funded program.
- Must be available to start in November 2025 and work within the office operating hours of 7:30 – 16:30.
- Reliable transportation or Own vehicle is advantageous for commuting to work due to the operational requirements of opening and closing the office building
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process, including advertising job vacancies, coordinating interviews, and maintaining candidate databases.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Maintain employee records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist in managing employee benefits, provident funds, and other company benefits.
- Respond to employee queries and provide administrative support to the HR manager.
- Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports as needed.
- Support in organizing employee engagement and wellness programs.
- Support the HR manager with all HR-related projects and activities.
