Heavy Duty Vehicle Drivers at Govan Mbeki Municipality

Requirements:

• Basic Literacy
• Grade 10 will be an added advantage
• Valid Code C1 (10) and/or Code EC (14) Driving license
• Heavy Vehicle / Machinery Operating Certificate for the following, but not limited to: TLB / Grader / Roller / Front End Loader / Excavator / Water Cart / Tipper Truck / Septic Tanks / Vacuum Truck
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in Water, Sewer, Roads and Stormwater construction, maintenance and heavy machinery operations
• Interpersonal and communication skills

APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO UNDERGO A MACHINE OPERATING ASSESSMENT / TEST.
The successful applicant / candidate must possess competencies as published in Annexure A of the Local Government: Municipal Staff Regulations promulgated in Government Gazette 45181 of 20 September 2021
Key Performance Areas:

• Operate various machinery / plant as required.
• Complete daily checklist of machinery / plant to be operated.
• Cleaning of plant and machinery.
• Grading, construction and maintenance of gravel roads.
• Maintenance of Water, Sewer and Stormwater pipelines.
• Excavation of pipelines.
• Digging and loading of materials.
• Compaction of material surfaces.
