What you’ll do
Strategy:
- Overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the business plan and strategy for the cluster and brands or strategic projects within it.
- Presentation of the strategy and goals to leadership and the brand
- Regular strategy reviews and an agile approach to change where required
- Oversee the integration of Eat Out into the larger Media24 content eco system.
- Position Media24 Advertising and Content Marketing as market leader.
- Strategic support of commercial projects within the Advertising and Content Marketing division
Commercial management:
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of the targeted revenue and contribution.
- Guide the teams responsible for the delivery of the core revenue areas including advertising, sponsorship, and counter sales and intervene as required.
- Introduce new, diversified revenue streams showing an agile and solutions-based approach to driving revenue.
- Strict cost control processes adhered to ensure margin growth.
Brand growth:
- Be the custodian of the brands, ensuring that the outputs are excellent and in keeping with the brand promises.
- Work with the content marketing team and commercial lead on Eat Out to market the brands appropriately.
- Work with the editors and teams to develop and launch new products in line with the brand strategy.
- Ensure appropriate and ongoing audience growth and engagement in a way that supports the commercial goals.
Team leadership:
- You will need to provide inspiring leadership to a senior creative team and will be asked to lead in line with Media24’s values, building a cohesive and engaged team.
- Ensure all team members have clear KPA’s which lead into the divisional goals.
- Ensure that the team is resourced and equipped to deliver on these goals.
- Conduct regular one on one sessions with your direct reports and ensure that this practice is carried out throughout the cluster.
- Ensure all HR policies and procedures are adhered to and escalate areas of concern to the head of HR and leadership.
What we’re looking for
- Relevant Degree or equivalent in Media or related field
- Proven experience developing and implementing successful content and revenue strategies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire creative teams and drive performance
- Exceptional client relationship management capabilities
- Strategic thinking combined with practical implementation skills
- Business acumen with a focus on growth and profitability
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
