Purpose of the job

  • The main purpose of the Instructional Designer role is to drive the delivery of fit for purpose learningand in time learning through the creation of online learning content. Focus on digital contentdevelopment with specific emphasis on animation.
  • Accountability for the design, development and implementation of content development standardsto ensure standardisation and consistency. The role also requires the management of the deliveryof content by the Graphic Designer and the Superuser Instructional Designer.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure adherence to the standards, governance and guidelines through the quality assurance of allcontent development projects.
  • Track and report on cost savings through internal content development and track and report onexternal spend for content development on a weekly basis.
  • For internal content development projects follow the Instructional Design guidelines (i.e. the ADDIEModel) and involve internal stakeholders in the key milestones of the project.
  • For internal content development projects assigned to the superuser/instructional designer andinstructional designer, ensure adherence to content development guidelines and standards byconducting quality assurance on the completed content development project.

Min Experience

  • 3+ Years with at least 2 years in Instructional design of content using Articulate software and Adobecreative cloud for animation and illustrations

Formal Education

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic design, E-learning Content developer, Content designer, orInformation Design.
