Job Description

• A leading freight forwarding company is looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder with strong experience in imports, exports, and customs processes to join their remote team. The successful candidate will handle commercial cargo, including hazardous goods, across both air and sea freight, ensuring smooth and compliant operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage import and export operations for air and sea freight
• Coordinate commercial cargo, including hazardous shipments
• Prepare and process customs entries and tariffing
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations
• Use freight management systems to process and track shipments
• Collaborate with clients, customs, and carriers to ensure timely delivery

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ freight forwarding experience
• Proven operational experience in handling both imports and exports
• Proficiency with CargoWise One (2+ years preferred), Shipshape, Easy Clear, or similar freight systems
• Strong knowledge of customs entries and tariff classifications
• Experience with commercial and hazardous cargo
• Matric qualification
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup (home office space required; equipment provided)
