CORE FUNCTION
- To render a Municipal Health Service as defined in the Health Act, 2003 (Act 61 of 2003) in his/her responsible area, according to organizational policies and statutory requirements, read in conjunction with the Scope of Practice of an Environmental Health Practitioner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- National Diploma/Degree in Environmental Health.
- Successful completion of the compulsory one-year community service.
- Proof of current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Practitioner
- Valid Code B Driver’s license with own reliable vehicle
- Successful completion of Peace Officer training will serve as an advantage to applicants.
- Ability to function independently and effectively in stressful situations.
- Excellent communication skills in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape Province
- Computer literacy
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and project management skills
- Ability to function effectively in stressful situations.
- Good facilitation and presentation skills.
