Qualifications and experience required:
- B. Tech/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety/Environmental Health Science.
- Computer literacy in Office applications.
- Five to seven years’ relevant work experience.
- Registration with the relevant professional body.
- Middle management experience.
Job purpose:
- Managing the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting sequences of outcomes associated with plans and programmes designed to accomplish key service delivery objectives and statutory requirements related to the provision of a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety programme for the Metro and its employees with the OHASA, COID, Nursing, Medicine, and Related Substance Acts.
- As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
