- We’re on the hunt for a digitally-savvy, creative individual to join our dynamic team as a Digital & Social Media Interns. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom that covers stories from every corner of the world.
Position Overview:
- As a Digital Intern, you’ll help shape how we tell stories online – amplifying our journalism across platforms and engaging audiences with compelling, timely content. Applicants may be based in the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Free State, or Gauteng.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Create engaging content for various social media platforms
- Assist with scheduling and posting content
- Monitor social media performance and engagement
- Research industry trends and competitor activities
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new digital campaigns
Educational Requirements
- A completed related tertiary qualification, or in the process of completing a qualification at a TVET/College
Skills and Competencies
- Working knowledge of all major social media platforms
- A curious mind, creative flair, and strong communication skills
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Basic computer literacy and online proficiency
