Purpose of the job 

  • Manage the maintenance of all PEP web channels (Websites, Intranet, and WhatsApp). Effectively handle product and content update demands from departments, while implementing our SEO strategy to increase organic traffic.

Key Responsibilities 

Management of web content

  • Product merchandising, maintenance and enrichment 
  • Site content management

SEO

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies to grow organic traffic across websites

Optimisation of web channels.  This will include:

  • Conducting extensive research to identify customer needs to drive new opportunities and create disruptive digital experiences
  • Web analytics, tracking & reporting
  • Web Product and Project Management
  • Front-end Product management (from ideation to implementation and execution)
  • Manage backlog, releases and frontend web channel budget

Ecommerce & Online performance:

  • Ecommerce & web objective performance optimisation
  • Manage business requirements driven by web channels, ie: goals, metrics, etc.

Relationship management

  • Collaborate with the broader teams to develop and introduce new site features.
  • Manage partners such as Web Designers, Developers and external partners or agencies to ensure all roadmap requirements are met & delivered

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Tertiary Qualification – SEO, Digital or Web related degree/diploma
  • 3-5 years experience working as a Web or SEO Manager or similar position
  • Strong, demonstrated and proven SEO experience
  • Retail experience will be an advantage
  • Online content and large listings of product merchandising experience
  • PIM(Product Information Management) experience 
  • Experience in online content optimisation for SEO 
  • Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager experience will be an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies (scrum) and work practice 
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript
  • Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager
  • CMS (Content Management System) experience e.g.  in Shopify, WordPress or Magento
  • Understanding of Conversion rate optimisation
  • Knowledge and interpretation of Website performance evaluation and optimisation
  • Understanding of Cyber/Web security 
  • Research capability
