Diesel Mechanic Learner (Rosslyn) at Afrimat

Minimum Qualification / Requirements / Attributes:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• N6 Qualification
• 18 months of practical experience
• Willing to learn and be trained
• Administrative skills and Microsoft knowledge
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
• Preferably own transport

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work accurately.
• Honest and reliable.
• Adaptable to change.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of welding and gas welding will be an advantage.
• Able to maintain good housekeeping.
• Always maintain professional workmanship standards.
• Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and maintenance of earthmoving equipment and delivery truck fleet.
• Perform machine inspections on earthmoving equipment, delivery truck fleet and compile backlog lists.
• Strictly adhere to applicable quality assurance processes & procedures.
• Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice- related initiatives.
• To work overtime when required
