Job Description
- Pepkor Speciality has a new position available within our Direct Marketing Team for a Customer Campaign Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking, compiling, and reporting customer research metrics derived from Salesforce to support marketing initiatives. They will compile data from Salesforce and organise it to develop comprehensive customer profiles and segmentations to create and deploy targeted campaigns.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Marketing, Communication or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in campaign coordination, direct marketing or digital marketing is essential.
- Proficiency in campaign management platforms, CRM systems, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of campaign workflows (ad hoc and automated).
- Good understanding of data segmentation and campaign reporting metrics (e.g., open rate, CTR, ROI).
- Working knowledge of POPIA and other compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems (eg. Klaviyo, Sendgrid or mailchimp).
- Proficiency in the latest G Suite packages and Advanced Excel in Microsoft packages.
- Good presentation and communication skills.
- Strong logical thinking and analytical ability with excellent numerical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Has a high energy level and is performance-driven and deadline-oriented.
- Excellent planning, organising and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute campaigns according to schedule, ensuring correct data counts, assets, and deadlines.
- Proof and test campaigns (SMS/email) before full deployment.
- Maintain and update campaign tracking lists and workflows to avoid bottlenecks.
- Ensure briefs, assets, and naming conventions are accurate and standardised.
- Generate and report on campaign performance (open rates, CTRs, conversions, ROI).
- Liaise with internal teams and Pepkor COE to resolve workflow or data discrepancies.
- Ensure all campaigns comply with POPIA and other legal requirements
- Support campaign optimisation by considering data-driven recommendations.
