Contract Technical Sales Representative at Pollock & Associates

• A one-year fixed-term opportunity is available for a Technical Sales Representative within the Paper Division.
• You will support sales activities by applying technical expertise to customer processes while ensuring safe, effective, and reliable chemical applications that enhance customer operations.

Qualifications:

• Degree or National Diploma in Pulp and Paper, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Chemical Engineering (essential).

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum of 6 months’ relevant technical sales experience
• Preferably in the Paper industry is an advantage.
• Advanced technical report writing and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all organisational levels.
• Strong organisational skills with a disciplined, structured work ethic.
• Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office, and comfortable working with business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply chemicals accurately in pulping, bleaching, boiler water, cooling water, and other process systems.
• Conduct laboratory and on-site chemical evaluations, interpreting data to optimise performance.
• Ensure continuity of chemical supply, including delivery coordination and housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to customer compliance standards, ensuring safe, effective, and reliable plant operations.
• Manage budgets and administration accurately.
• Support and improve SHERQ performance, achieving sales targets while minimising risk.
