REQUIREMENTS :
- Degree in Engineering/BSC Engineering or relevant qualification as recognized by SAQA. Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Civil Engineer or Civil Engineering Technologist.
- Six (6) years post qualification experience required as a registered professional engineer. Computer literate. Valid driver’s licence.
DUTIES :
- Oversee all engineering aspects of civil infrastructure projects, including design, construction, and maintenance. Manage engineering teams, develop project plans and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Manage all civil/structural aspects of construction projects, including design, documentation, and inspection.
- Provide technical guidance, reviewing designs and ensuring projects adhere to engineering principles and standards. Developing and managing project budgets, allocating resources and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure that projects comply with relevant regulations, codes and quality standards. Management of risks through identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies and ensuring a safe working environment. Management of performance information, finances, human resources and assets.
