Chief Accountant at Lexdan Select

• Lexdan Select is assisting a Renewable Energy company with their search for a Chief Accountant, based in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.
• The role is technical in nature, with a primary focus on financial closing and reporting across multiple subsidiaries, rather than on budgeting or forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the monthly, and annual financial closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Coordinate with auditors and manage the year-end audit process.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements in all financial reporting activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CA(SA), AGA(SA), or CIMA qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years post articles experience doing complex monthly, and year end reporting.
• Experience working at a company with multiple subsidiaries.
