Description
- Required to perform various Heavy Maintenance/SVM duties including, but not limited to:
- Analyse and interpret aircraft blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals to perform repairs;
- Prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to a variety of materials used on the aircraft;
- Fabricate parts as needed;
- Conduct maintenance;
- Order supplies, equipment, materials, and parts for repairs and routine maintenance;
- Safely operate various tools used for sheet metal applications;
- Install, repair, inspect, and replace sheet metal components on aircraft, including structural assemblies.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
- Trade test Certificate (Aircraft Sheet Metal/Structures) (Essential)
- Licensed AME with a SACAA B rating (Essential);
- Minimum of 5 years aviation experience (Essential);
- Previous experience working on B737-800 (Essential);
- Previous experience working on B737-8 (MAX) (Advantageous)
- OJT experience (Advantageous);
- Valid South African passport holder;
- Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and overtime as and when required;
- Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally.
