Requirements
- A relevant B degree, preferably in Commerce or LLB
- Computer literacy in MS Office applications and SAP proficiency
- Five (5) to eight (8) years’ relevant experience in a senior role
- Experience in a similar local government municipality will be an advantage
- Code EB driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
- Lead the imbedding of contract management best practices by the Project/Programme to facilitate alignment of contract objectives (outputs/deliverables/milestones) with the specific project and strategic objectives of the organisation including but not limited to determining success factors, appropriate indicators and targets, evaluation against criteria and reporting
- Lead the activities of the Project/Programme focused on imbedding a culture of legislative compliance to facilitate the accurate identification of legislative requirements, meeting applicable requirements and reduction of resultant irregular expenditure including but not limited to the formulation, implementation and monitoring of processes prescribed
- Oversee and lead the conduct of contract reviews of designated contracts on a quarterly basis and associated reporting
- Create and maintain the contract review business process and implement measures for continuous improvement
- Participate in all bid specification committees and bid evaluation committees related to the CAR tenders.
