ROLE SUMMARY:
- Reddford House The Hills is seeking a Male Boarding Mentor to join our vibrant school community. Situated within The Hills Game Reserve Estate, our school provides an inspiring environment that nurtures academic, cultural, and sporting excellence.
- The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in mentoring, supporting, and caring for boarding students, ensuring their personal, social, and emotional well-being. This role requires a warm, responsible, and professional individual who can create a safe and nurturing environment where students feel supported and encouraged to thrive.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with and provide consistent care, guidance, and mentorship to boarding students.
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and respectful environment that promotes student comfort and emotional well-being.
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times in conduct, punctuality, and communication.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline, and responsibility among students.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support student development.
- Respond to parent communications (emails or calls) within 24 hours in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Participate in school events and special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
- Evaluate and reflect on personal mentoring practices to continuously improve.
- Engage in ongoing professional and personal development.
- Demonstrate loyalty and commitment to the values and ethos of Reddford House and the Inspired Group.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as determined by the School Head or line manager.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A genuine passion for education, mentorship, and student well-being.
- Proven experience in a residential, pastoral, or mentoring capacity within a school or youth environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with care and efficiency.
- Professional conduct, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
- A caring, empathetic approach balanced with firmness and fairness in upholding school values.
- Willingness to participate in the wider school life and act as a positive role model.
- A proactive attitude toward continuous learning and professional growth.
