Job Description
KWV a renowned South African brand and industry leader in the production of world-class wines, and other spirits has a vacancy for a Blender Assistant based in Paarl, Western Cape.

- Department: Spirits Paarl
- Division: Operations
Purpose:
- The purpose of this role is to ensure that correct blending according to the BOM on SAP and according to the relevant SOP. To perform administrative duties related to blending and general housekeeping.
- Ensure that they will be responsible for and continually strive to do their part to ensure that only a safe, quality product that meets all applicable standards and requirements is manufactured.
Job Summary:
- Assist in blending according to BOM.
- Completion of blending sheets
- Submit product samples to lab for relevant analysis and maintain records.
- Perform product transfers and ensure accurate loss calculations
- Clean and prepare vessels and tanks as per procedure
- Assist in monthly stock take and monitor expiry dates of raw materials prior to use
- Compile relevant Final Acceptance documents as per procedure.
- Inform the Administration Controller of Raw Material low level
- Store all Raw Materials according to Raw Material storage procedure
- Support bottling preparation through the correct setup of pumps and equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Preferably 2-3 years of experience in a spirit cellar based environment
- Forklift license
- Mathematical competencies
- Knowledge of HACCP/VACCP/TACCP (cellar hygiene)
Skills Required:
- Punctual and reliable
- Fast earner with strong work ethic
- Willing to work overtime and over weekends when operationally required
- Knowledge of general cellar work and tank transfers
- Good administrative and record keeping skills
- No fear of heights
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
