Introduction
- The main purpose of the job is to assist the store manager to plan, lead and direct the effective management of day to day operations of the store team in order to achieve operational excellence and business objectives as well as to act as store manager in the absence.
Job description
Job Objectives:
- To assist the Store Manager to ensure maximum profitability of the store by managing key financial indicators (sales, trading profit, shrinkage, wastage, stock, expenses) aligned to budget.
- To assist the Store Manager to deliver high standards of customer service consistently, through ensure adherence to the customer service principles.
- To assist the Store Manager to ensure effective people management, development and alignment in store in order to build capacity and meet staffing needs.
- To assist the Store Manager to drive and manage compliance to all in store processes, policies and procedures aligned to requirements.
- To be a role model for staff presenting the image and behaviour of management to which the company aspires through its values.
Minimum requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric/Grade 12 (essential).
- Business and/or Retail Management Diploma (desirable).
- 1 to 3 Years experience in a retail environment (essential).
