MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in agriculture with major in Horticulture or Agronomy
- At least 2 years practical farm experience in horticultural or agronomic production and staff supervision
- Integrity, self-motivated, attention to detail, fluent in English and Afrikaans, proficient with Excel
- Be hands-on and participate in all farm activities as is necessary on a compact, intense farm
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Co-ordinate staff in consultation with management team for land preparation, sowing, fertilization, irrigation
- management and weed control
- Record keeping of production
- Irrigation infrastructure maintenance
- Arrange for vehicle and farm equipment maintenance and keep records
