Job Purpose
- The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government (WCG) has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to oversee the effective management of the asset management environment in compliance with the PFMA.
- The role includes overseeing three key aspects of the asset lifecycle and reporting. This includes Acquisitions, Maintenance of the department’s asset register, Disposal and Financial Statement reporting. The role also entails managing staff, ensuring daily operational efficiency within the unit and maintaining governance in the environment.
- The successful incumbent must be willing to travel to various sites across the Western Cape.
Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Public Finance, B.Comm or Internal Auditing
- A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in the asset management environment, warehouse management, inventory management or financial management
- A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.
