ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As an Artisan Fitter, you will be responsible for timely installation, repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure that underground mining activities are executed in a safe manner as well as operate equipment and tests all working parts in functional area to ensure proper utilization.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Maintenance and repairs of plant equipment in the production sections;
• Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, interpretation of hydraulic diagrams, planned and predictive maintenance;
• Accesses any area safely to perform necessary maintenance on plants or equipment;
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and assesses risks on equipment;
• Maintains a clean and safe worksite;
• Ensures the upkeep of maintenance tools and equipment;
• Coordinates  activities  associated  with  trouble-shooting  and  repairing  maintenance   equipment.

ABOUT YOU:

• You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
• Knowledge and experience in maintaining plant equipment such as conveyors, screens, jaw   crushers, apron feeder, rock breaker and pumps is essential;
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and ability to read and interpret diagrams is essential;
• Having minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified Fitter on plant equipment
• Working experience on SAP/1SAP is advantageous.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Serious contenders will have a N2 Technical Certificate (Internal Candidates) / N3 Technical Certificate (External Candidates);
• Valid Code 08 Driver’s license is essential.
