Artisan Diesel Mechanic UG (REF: IVP-ENG-2501) at Ivanhoe Mines

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
• Relevant Trade Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• Driver’s License

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• Minimum of 4 years relevant TMM experience in a mining environment. 

The Role requirements include, but not be limited to:

• Responsible for maintaining and repairing the diesel fleet, managing any mechanical issues and carrying out routine inspections of the equipment.
• Maintenance of TMM, Diesel by generator and diesel standby.
• Replacing, testing and checking.
• Adherent to the jobs and repair procedures.
• Housekeeping of workplace to international standards
• Complete all associated paperwork.
• Work as directed to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
• Ensuring inspections are carried out on all equipment before use.
• Ensuring that all tools and equipment are serviceable and safe.
