MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A 3 year relevant qualification , National Diploma in Accounting, Bcom with Financial Accounting as a major. Computer Literacy – Microsoft office applications. 18 – 24 months relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE
- Conversant with basic accounting and the double entry. Inputs information from source documents into a computer system; Suppliers information for a specific purpose;
- Generates and prints standard reports a computer system; and Locate& retrieves recorded details or requested items from a computer system,
- Apply policies and procedures process management.
- Makes & records payments in accordance with financial policies & regulations;
- Distinguishes between capital and operational expenditure; and Collects and collates information for the preparation of financial statement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving invoices from creditors and verifying the accuracy of details recorded on transactional documentation generated for payments.
- Preparing payment vouchers for electronic funds transfers (EFT),
- Handling queries when the suppliers demands payments, including resolving the suppliers’ queries.
- Handling and resolving queries from internal and external auditors. Performance of month end procedures, creditors’ reconciliation and year end processes, Assisting in the compilation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
