Job Description:
- PSG is recruiting for an exciting and challenging career opportunity for an Accountant to perform the full accounting function, payroll duties, and who can work in a high pressure, deadline driven environment
Responsibilities:
- Accurate financial reporting, budgets and statutory returns
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and minimizing and controlling financial risk
- Accurate Reconciliation of commission statements to receipts and monitor and interpret commission received
- Effective commission tracking
- Formulation and amendment of Policies and Procedures
- Monitor and interpret cash flows & predict future trends
- Calculation and Payment of VAT, PAYE & Income Tax for SARS
- Reconciling of bank accounts and capturing in Sage
- Reconciliation, capture into Sage & Payment of Suppliers
- Process Salary changes in Sage & Payment of Employees’ salaries
- Process Leave changes in LeavePro
- Ensuring accurate contracts to suppliers
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Annual budgeting process, staff increases, share of profit and dividends
- Monthly Liaison with PSG Finance relating to commission and related expenses
- Annual liaison with auditors to produce financial statements
- Process Annual Returns to statutory bodies
- Keep abreast with financial regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, CIMA (advantageous) or finance related degree
- 3 +years’ relevant work experience within the financial services industry
- Computer literacy (Advanced MS Excel and Sage skills)
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and at least one other of the official South African languages
