Senior Lecturer/Lecturer: Mathematics at Stellenbosch University

Requirements

For appointment as Senior Lecturer:

• A PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field.

• Evidence of recent research experience in an area that will strengthen the research profile of the Mathematics Division. Preference will be given to candidates working in Number Theory, Algebra, Geometry or Analysis, but applicants from all areas of Mathematics will be considered.

• A growing research publication record in high quality peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.

• Proven experience and commitment to teaching Mathematics at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

• Successful postgraduate supervision or co-supervision (as one of the main co-supervisors) to completion, at least at master’s level.

• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
