Job Purpose
- Plans and manages the support services department in the Mayoral Parlor Unit by implementing strategic short- and long-term plans including critical interventions necessary to deliver outputs.
- This post reports to HEAD (MAYORAL PARLOUR)
Key Responsibility Areas
- Management support role to support the unit’s intent and deliverables by contributing to the development of strategy documents which gives direction on management processes related to the Directorate.
- Controls outcomes associated with unitization and performance of personnel within the function
- Planning and preparing the operating and capital estimates and controlling expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
- Performing a risk assessment by analysing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the support function and create a risk register.
- Managing the Mayoral Parlour Office to ensure the smooth running of the office and improving the Directorate’s procedures and day-to-day operation.
- Manages procurement and sourcing of goods and services for relevant key performance areas.
- Manage and facilitate the implementation of key programs/ projects within the Diectorate that are linked to the IDP.
- Disseminates functions and operational information on the immediate short-and long-term objectives and, current applications and constrains.
- Manages administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of functionality.

Essential Requirements
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration or Public Management or Financial Management, Cost and Management Accounting or Accounting.
- 6 Years relevant experience of which 2 years must be at a Supervisory level.
Preferred Requirements
- Degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration or Public Management or Financial Management, Cost and Management Accounting or Accounting.
- 7 Years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a Supervisory level.
