Winder (Longmeadow) at ACDC Dynamics SA

Key Responsibilities:

Wind transformers from 1.5VA to 1000VA using two types of electrical winding machines:

• Small Automatic Winding Machine: 1.5VA to 40VA – 4 bobbins at a time
• Medium Semi-Automatic Winding Machine: 40VA to 1000VA – 1 bobbin at a time
• Follow detailed specifications and winding procedures to ensure consistent quality
• Assist in testing of PCB transformers and power packs to verify functionality and quality
• Solder wires and perform terminations accurately as part of the transformer assembly process
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Follow all safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in transformer winding or a related field
• Proficient in soldering wires and electrical terminations
• Basic understanding of electrical components and circuits
• Ability to operate automatic and semi-automatic winding machines
• Attention to detail and precision
• Ability to follow technical drawings or winding diagrams
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Preferred Qualifications:

• Armature Winder – Trade Test (Will be a plus)
• 3 to 5 Years experience as a winder 
• Previous experience working on winding machinery and winding of transformers
• Familiarity with basic electrical testing procedures and test equipment procedures and equipment
