ROLE SUMMARY:
- Inspired Education Group is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Preparatory Dance Teacher to join our team at Reddam House Durbanville on a part-time, permanent basis from January 2026.
- The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging, high-quality Dance teaching, nurturing creativity and confidence while upholding the highest standards of performance and discipline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and progressive Dance lessons that inspire and challenge students in the Senior Preparatory phase.
- Establish a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity, participation, and excellence.
- Set, assess, and record student work; provide timely and constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Evaluate and continuously improve teaching practice through reflection and professional development.
- Contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular events that showcase student talent.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, responding promptly to messages and queries.
- Attend school events, staff meetings, and professional development sessions as required.
- Promote the school’s ethos of respect, responsibility, and personal growth.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A university degree with Certified Teaching Status (or equivalent).
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Dance to students in the Senior Preparatory phase.
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Confidence in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
- A genuine passion for Dance and the performing arts, coupled with a commitment to student wellbeing and development.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to school life.
